Districts plan to share chief executive's role

Richmondshire DC has started to draw up plans to share a chief executive with Hambleton DC. Councillors voted last week to start formal discussions with Hambleton about appointing an interim chief executive for six months, starting in January. 'This would be very much a first for north Yorkshire, and it would be on an interim basis,' said Richmondshire DC leader, Melva Steckles.
