Torridge DC has decided to end its longstanding arrangement with Teignbridge DC to share chief executive, Nicola Bulbeck. Councillors at the district council voted last week to end the chief executive sharing scheme - which has been in place since December 2009 - in February 2012. Ms Bulbeck will continue as Teignbridge DCs chief executive. Torridge DC leader, CUr Barry Parsons, said ending the secondment would 'give us greater flexibility for members to respond to challenges that lay ahead'.
