Basildon DC has launched a campaign to clamp down on housing fraud.The council has started a two-week amnesty targeting tenants who are illegally subletting their property, have left it vacant, or who provided false information on applications.Cllr Phil Turner, cabinet member for resources, said: 'This campaign will tackle housing fraud in the interests of supporting those in genuine need.'
