Shadow communities secretary Hilary Benn has urged ministers to prove they have learned the lessons of last year's riots, following Eland House's failure to respond to an independent inquiry's recommendations ahead of this week's anniversary. Mr Benn criticised the DCLG's failure to publish a full response to the Riots Communities and Victims Panel's study, released in March, prior to the anniversary of the civil unrest on 6 August.
