Local government is on track for a big finish

The campaign to devolve more power and financial freedoms down to local government is gathering pace as more people add their voices. Graham Allen MP may have stolen the show this week with his Local Government Independence Bill, which paraded a raft of measures to rewrite the constitution between central and local government. Unfortunately, it's not actually a Bill - as yet. More of a showcase of what could happen, with about as much glitz and glamour as constitutional local government could possibly muster.
