Findlay retires from NALC John Findlay, the chief executive of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), has announced he will retire next month after 14 years at the association. Under his stewardship more than 200 new councils were established in the past 13 years. NALC chairman, Cllr Ken Browse, said: 'John has led our organisation and our councils, to a key role at the centre of the localism agenda, with new powers, new responsibilities and new opportunities.' The association is due to appoint a new chief executive in spring 2014.
