'NHS Long Term Plan under threat from cuts'

Cuts in council social care and public health budgets threaten the viability of the ambitious NHS Long Term Plan, council chiefs have warned. The Association of Directors of Public Health, Local Government Association (LGA), Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, County Councils' Network and District Councils' Network were among 55 prominent leaders who called for this year's Spending Review to make 'significant and sustainable funding for public health a priority'.
