Call for transformational changes

'More fundamental, transformational changes are needed in service provision' by Scottish councils, the chair of the Accounts Commission watchdog has said. Graham Sharp said the pace of change needed to improve in some councils to address the 'growing gap' between demand and resources. He continued: 'Fundamental change is needed to ensure services meet the shifting demands of local communities, with councils working and collaborating with communities to deliver the change needed. Councils must now focus on changing how frontline services are designed and delivered.'
