Deliveries of the APACHE-AP to the French Air Force began in mid-2001. Deliveries of the Storm Shadow began in 2002, and shipments of the SCALP-EG began in 2003.Total Produced. Approximately 143 APACHE-AP, 847 SCALP-EG, 76 MdCN (once called SCALP Naval), and 1,015 Storm Shadow missiles (including RDT&E units) were being produced or had beencompleted by the end of 2017. Overall orders now top 2,200 units (all versions).Application. A modular-type weapon system designed to attack (dayight) a variety of stationary and moving targets (including armored targets) at various standoff ranges.Price Range. The APACHE costs about $800,000. In 2011, France mentioned a price of EUR626.000 for the SCALP-EG and EUR850,000 for the SCALP Naval. The U.K.'s Storm Shadow might cost GBP500,000 apiece.
