In each issue of the Minnesota Police Journal, I write an article informing the Legal Defense Fund (LDF) membership of the nuts and bolts of the operation of the LDF. Due to attorney-client confidentiality privilege, I rarely get the opportunity to report the details of the many successes enjoyed by the LDF membership. However, with the waiver of privilege for the purpose of this article, consent, and encouragement of LDF member Crookston Police Officer Donald Rasicot, this issue will report on a very high profile criminal trial that Officer Rasicot recently went through which resulted in an acquittal of all charges.
