Members of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association Legal Defense Fund (MPPOA LDF) have been involved in nine (9) critical incidents since the last MPPOA LDF article was written for the Spring, 2010, edition of the Minnesota Police Journal. Many of these recent critical incidents have been high profile and have generated a number of questions about MPPOA LDF representation from both "involved" officers, as well as from "witness" officers. Now may be a good time to review who is provided MPPOA LDF representation and who is provided union representation following a critical incident.
