Taken while the Mini was still under development, this shot of Ann Wisdom (left) and Pat Moss shows them holding their cups won in the Monte Carlo Rally of 1959. Driving an Austin A40, Pat and Ann won the Coupe de Dames and came 10th overall that year. Switching to 997cc Mini Cooper, 737 ABL, for the 1962 Monte, Pat and Ann won the Coupe des Dames for the third successive time so were allowed to keep it. Pat disliked the Mini, describing it later as "twitchy" and "badly prepared" but, professional driver that she was, she kept these thoughts to herself and went out to win.
