Fitting a New Mini Mkl (Eaton M45) supercharger kit to an A-series Mini is a very quick and easy way of gaining additional power. Fitting is straightforward and well within the capability of a lot of home mechanics, but careful set-up on Mini Speed's rolling road is essential following installation. Where fuel injection is being fitted, whether to a previously carburetted car or an original injection car, full mapping of the ECU is required to ensure that all runs correctly. A carb set-up requires one to two hours on the rollers; injection will need more - around five hours. Once set up, no further mapping should be needed so the initial outlay is well worth it as a twin-injector supercharger installation fitted to a suitably modified Mini engine will produce almost 200bhp.
