The Lancashire Mini Register's first Mega Mini Meet took place on 22 May at Lytham Hall in Lytham St Annes, near Blackpool. Just a 15-minute drive from the bright lights and rollercoasters of Pleasure Beach lies a quaint Georgian country house on a leafy estate - an ideal venue for a Mini show. The show was aimed equally at original and new Minis, so I was a little concerned that original Minis would be in the minority. But, as encouraged by the LMR, there was a healthy 50/50 split with just over 200 cars in attendance, despite the gloomy wet weather.
