Kelab Peminat Kereta Mini Malaysia (KPKMM) has held an annual convoy to Thailand since 2008. For this year's event, in March, the club returned to Phuket, this time with government recognition and corporate sponsors, officially representing Malaysia and promoting the country in Thailand. Club members travelled the 600km, seven hour drive to Hat Yai on the first day, continuing early the next day and arriving at Phuket at 5pm, where they stayed for four days before convoying back to Hat Yai for another two nights before returning home.
