First Stage

It was still cold at 6am on 14 April as Mini owners arrived at YZ circuit, a small race track in Japan's Gifu prefecture. Once the sun rose above the surrounding hills the temperature was boosted by the warming of Mini engines. First Stage was established in 2001, this year being the 12th event. The race meeting for Minis is organised by Ken Kusuhara, helped by volunteers including Yaneura and Kameura race team members. Both road and race Minis can take part.
