New research done by a consulting team commissioned by the Beverage Packaging Environment Council (BPEC) shows that many beverage containers (aluminum cans, glass, PET and HDPE bottles) are being landfilled and are not being recycled. The results of the research were shown to attendees at the National Recycling Coalition's Annual Congress & Expo, held earlier this summer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
