Van Dyk Baler Reports Equipment Installations

Waste Management Davis Street, in San Leandro, California recently purchased equipment from Van Dyk Baler Corp. to do a retrofit of its existing single stream system. Waste Management implemented two TiTech Optical Sorting units to automatically sort PET and HDPE and do an increased recovery of fiber from commingled material off the existing angled screen. The system will also minimize labor required on manual post sort, and increase recovery rates for PET, HDPE color and natural, and #3-#7 plastics, said the supplier. System will be installed by Van Dyk Baler Corn, in the soring.
