Moore Offers Workshop On Paper Markets At SERC

Bill Moore of Moore & Associates will be offering a workshop on paper markets at the Southeast Recycling Conference & Trade Show on Sunday, March 13 in Destin, Florida. The Workshop will review recent trends in world recovered paper supply/demand and our outlook going forward over the next one to five years, with an emphasis on the impact of the U.S. and Southeast market. On the global front, the outlook for China will be presented: recovered paper demand, health of their economy and paper industry, as well as increased domestic collection efforts. On the collection side, concerns about over supply of Mixed Paper and undersupply of OCC will be highlighted.The Workshop will also cover recovered paper quality issues (including the effect of Green Fence). On the U.S. domestic mill front, the growing demand for OCC will be examined from a number of conversions of graphic paper machines to recycled fiber based containerboard. The cost effectiveness of recovered paper use in the various paper and board grades will be presented.
