Moore Discusses Scrap Paper Markets

Global recovered paper usage has grown from 208 million tons in 2008 to 244 million tons in 2016, Bill Moore of Moore & Associated told attendees at the New Jersey Paper Recycling Association meeting held earlier this month in Carlstadt on the "Status of the Global Recovered Paper Markets." A vast majority of U.S. recovered paper collected in the U.S. is used for the export market (40 percent), with about 34 percent going to the containerboard market.
