AF&PA Releases Paper Reports

The American Forest & Paper Association released its July 2018 Containerboard Monthly report. Containerboard production was up 4.2 percent compared to July 2017 and up 1.5 percent year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to June 2018 was 3-8 percent higher. The containerboard operating rate was 99.4 percent, 2.5 percentage points higher than the same month last year. Production for export reached its highest level for 2018 so far; it was 2.0 percent higher than July 2017 but 2.7 percent lower year-to-date.
