摘要

Since 2001, some 10,000 sites (from all sectors) have been participating in the Climate Change Agreement (CCA) process. They have committed themselves to meeting challenging energy targets to obtain a discount from the Climate Change Levy (CCL). In the dairy sector, 154 sites representing more than 90 companies signed CCAs in 2001 and this is expected to save the industry approximately £5 million a year, in terms of the 80% rebate from the full CCL rate. The agreements require companies to hold "robust and auditable" data for the base years and all subsequent milestone periods, throughout the 10 years of the agreement.
