Work to promote environmental best practice on farms is succeeding and is delivering tangible benefits to farmers, a packed Dairy UK conference was told earlier this month.rnOver 120 delegates at 'Dairy Farming and the Environment 2009' heard how better slurry management earned one farmer £4000 per year, and anaerobic digestion added more than £5500 to the bottom line at another farm. The event was Dairy UK's annual contribution to the Environmental Plan for Dairy Farming (EPDF).
