RABDF farmer succession survey

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers is seeking producers to take part in its succession survey.rnThe research aims to provide an accurate picture of dairy farms and who will be milking cows in 2020.rn"Recent reports suggest that the average age of a dairy farmer is 55 years; if this is true, then the majority should be ready to retire by 2020, so it begs the question, who will take over?," explains RABDF's Technical and Policy Advisor, Tom Rabbetts.rn"We would like to ascertain this age statistic in order to determine if there will be arnsustainable dairy industry, a national herd and critically, enough people to manage and milk it in the future.
