Managing The Future Of Dairy

A joint venture by Kite Consulting and Marden Management is hoping to provide young people with a structured career path in the British dairy industry. The Dairy Management Scheme (DMS) is an apprenticeship for young people looking to be capable of managing high performance 500+ cow herds within five years. The apprenticeship will last for two years with the trainees completing six month placements on four different farms. Quality training will be provided both on and off farm with the apprentices receiving certification and training in topics such as DIY Al, foot trimming, ATV and telescopic handling, record keeping and man management, to name a few.
