I'm not to know if any of you have ever been to Holy Island off the coast of Northumberland. To get there you drive, probably a couple of miles, across a causeway that disappears under the sea when the tide comes in. We went to Holy Island last year when we went to Northumberland on a short break, largely because we'd never been there before. When we decide to return from Holy Island the tide is in, but receding fast, so we follow the tide as it goes out, moving the car forward about 50 yards as the waters go lower, up to the top of the door sills being judged as deep as we should go.
