About Richard Perkins

Richard Perkins has a degree in Agriculture and Forest Sciences from Oxford and a Masters in Agricultural Economics from Aberystwyth. In the 1990s, he worked for Scottish Natural Heritage as a Land Use Economist. He then worked for WWF on CAP reform and switched over to working with companies and using the profit motive to improve environmental outcomes. In the middle of the 'noughties', he worked with the global sugar cane sector to improve its key environmental and social impacts. More recently, he has been working with the dairy sector to see if global environmental and social standards for dairy production can be established and to inspire dairy sector companies to improve their environmental impacts. He also works with WWF-UK's One Planet Food team and collaborated with Tara Garnett at the Food Climate Research Network to commission the How Low Can We Go? report.
