Several key figures within and related to the dairy industry were recognised in the New Year's Honours list. 1.Colin Deverell Smith, OBE, Former CEO of Safeway PLC, for his services to Assured Food Standards; 2.John Carr, OBE, Manager of Singleton's Dairy, for services to dairy exports and business in the North West; 3.Former Green Alliance Director Stephen Hale, OBE, for services to the environment.
