In recent months I've followed a story often hidden from the press and all Americans. This is the story of a U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer, named John Anthony Walker, a KGB spy from the very beginning of his Naval career, a 17-year period of a 19-year career. Better known as "Johnny Walker,"and his family of spies. In his Naval career, he recruited his brother, his son and his best friend to spy for the KGB. It was through his ex-wife, who finally found out what he was doing to America and especially the U.S. Navy submarine service that he was turned in to the FBI, who finally caught up with him after he had retired from the U.S. Navy. He was tried and given two life terms plus 40 years. The others, including his son, were also convicted and given prison sentences. My great concern today is that the U.S. government plans to release Johnny Walker on 20 May 2015, without having served his time. I have read about this traitor extensively in such books as "All Hands Down," "Scorpion Down," "Red Star Rogue," "Rising Tide" and "Silent Steel." The made-for-TV movie, "A Family of Spies," with Powers Boothe portraying Johnny Walker in a thrilling true story, is a must see for all Americans.
