While filming a U.S. Army patrol in Baghdad on Memorial Day 2006, a car bomb exploded and killed the patrol leader, Captain Alex Funk-houser; his translator; cameraman, Paul Douglas; soundman, James Brolan, and seriously wounded CBS reporter Kimberly Dozier. This book is Kimberly's story of the events in her life, which led her to be in this place at this moment in time, and the tremendous struggle that ensued as she battled her horrendous injuries, both physical and psychological.
