Non-Lethal Weapons and Technologies Resources and Techniques and Lessons Learned

The efforts to develop new Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) face some especially critical obstacles. New promising technologies are surfacing near daily, but they have to travel a long and expensive path before they can prove to be effective, non-lethal, affordable, reliable, and fieldable all at once. The dream NLW would have to be similar to Star Trek's Phaser: lightweight, tunable (from "stun" up to "rock melting"), and powered by a 9V battery. Unfortunately real life is very different.
