The IDF has to slash NIS1.5 billion from the defence budget by the end of this year and another NIS3 billion in 2014. The new multi-year plan, called ,,Te'uzah" (daring, valour), will be submitted to the security cabinet and the full government for approval soon. Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Benny Gantz, his former deputy, Maj.Gen. Yair Naveh, and the current deputy, Maj.Gen. Gazi Eizenkot, coordinated the planning of the budget over the past year.
