Undaunted by the Covid-19 crisis, thesuccess of the virtual 2020 Training andSimulation Industry Symposium (TSIS)held online in June provided an earlydemonstration of how networked information-sharing can help provide thesolutions to physical limitations. Duringthe three-day event, leading procurementofficials from the primary US AirForce, Army, Navy and Marine trainingorganizations provided the latest in contractopportunity information from theirheadquarters’ locations. Attendance wasbroadly similar to 2019 at over 700. Asa nearly 15-year participant in the TSISevent, I can say that this year’s show atleast equalled the past few years’ level ofparticipation and the quality of the presentations.
