Providing Security Force Assistance in an Economy of Force Battle

The 1st battalion, 35th Armor (Task Force Conqueror), fought an economy of force mission for most of the Battle of Ramadi during the summer and fall of 2006. This narrative highlights lessons learned from the deployment. Through a combination of partnering with Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), tribal engagement, aggressive Iraqi Police recruiting, and targeted U.S.-led operations, the task force was able to-rn1.
