La storia del Granducato di Toscana, dopo la caduta della dinastia de' Medici, alterna periodi di pace, progresso e concordia sociale ad altri caratterizzati da guerre, turbolenze ed insurrezioni. Poco conosciute, le vicende di cui fu partecipe l'Esercito toscano in età lorenese, napoleonica e nel corso degli eventi che condussero all'Unità d'Italia meritano, per la loro importanza, una rinnovata attenzione.%The history of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, after the fall of the dynasty of the de 'Medici, alternates periods of peace, progress and social harmony with other periods characterized by wars, turmoil and uprisings. The events which the Tuscan Army took a part in during the Lorenese, Napoleonic and Risorgimento ages are little known but deserve, due to their importance, a renewed attention.
