The military transport market is in a period of ongoing stability, albeit at a relatively low rate of production. The segment has not suffered from the rapid decline in demand that has brutalized the market for civil transports during the COVID-19 pandemic. Defense funding in Europe and Asia, currently the two largest markets for military transports, has remained largely unscathed. The heavy segment of the military transport market, which includes the Airbus A400M, Lockheed Martin's C-130J, and the all-new Embraer C-390, will account for the majority of transport production during the forecast period. The medium segment will be dominated by two manufacturers, Airbus and Leonardo Aircraft, via production of the C-295/CN-235 family of transports and the C-27J, respectively.
