Army seeks to design vehicle-mounted sensors to detect and destroy small UAVs

U.S. Army researchers are searching industry to find companies able to design vehicle-mounted sensors able to detect and track enemy small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and hand off targeting information quickly to other systems to shoot the UAVs down, or otherwise disable them. Officials of the Army Contracting Command-New Jersey at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., have issued a request for information (W15QKN19X05YK) for the Ballistic Low Altitude Drone Engagement (BLADE) 360 Degree Detection System.
