X-47B drone completes catapult launch flight test

The X-47B prototype unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) completed its first catapult launch by Northrop Grumman Corp. and the U.S. Navy. The test marks the first of several shore-based, catapult-to-flight tests before the Navy's UCAS Carrier Demonstration catapult launches the X-47B from a ship. The flight included several maneuvers and demonstrated the Control Display Unit (CDU).
