RECEIVERS RECOVER SMSK- AND MSK-MODULATED INPUTS

Serial minimum-shift keying (SMSK) has been examined as a means of simplifying the hardware implementation of MSK modulation systems. Analysis of the relationship between SMSK and MSK reveals that with the correct modulator configuration, SMSK and MSK receivers will be transparent to the modulation type, resulting in greater receiver flexibility.
