37 to 40 GHz Power Amplifier with Power Detector

Hittite Microwave Corp. has developed a new power amplifier that is ideal for high linearity point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios and VSAT and SATCOM applications. The HMC7229LS6 is a four-stage GaAs PHEMT MMIC power amplifier with an integrated temperature compensated on-chip power detector that operates between 37 and 40 GHz. Ideal for covering the 38 GHz licensed microwave radio band, the amplifier provides 24 dB of gain and +31.5 PldBm of output power while drawing 1200 mA from a +6 V DC supply.
