High-performance, low-power active mixer converts frequencies for 3.3GHz to 3.8GHz WiMAX applications

Solutions that perform frequency upconversion and downconversion in the 3.3 to 3.8 GHz frequency range are described and their measured performance is presented. The circuits employ a low power, high performance, active mixer that was designed for use in a wide variety of applications. The mixer's low power consumption and 4 GHz frequency capability make it an attractive solution in WiMAX systems.
