A large financial institution operating on the East Coast has discovered that it can expand the capabilities of engineering-oriented applications to open up a whole new world of facilities management and real-time information access. In the late 1980s, the institution began experimenting with engineering applications to show space usage. The group's subsequent move to standardize on Bentley Systems Inc.'s MicroStation proved to be ideal.
