WMC Resources Ltd. is currently in the midst of a major expansion that will transform its Olympic Dam mine in Southern Australia into a large-scale, world-class internationally competitive mine and plant. When the expansion is completed, Olympic Dam mine will triple its current mining capacity from 3 million to 9 million tons per year, and increase annual copper production from 85,000 to 200,000 tons. This change is facilitated in part by the use of PlantSpace products from Jacobus Technology.
