摘要

A nanocrystalline ZnO PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) composite film was directly prepared on Zn foil via hydrothermal etching method. The microstructure, morphology, photocatalysis and photoluminescence of the composite film were investigated. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy indicated that all the nanocrystalline ZnO nanoparticles were embedded in the PVP matrix randomly with a single crystalline hexagonal wurtzite structure. The photoluminescence spectrum of the ZnO/PVP composite film showed enhanced ultraviolet emission and no green emission, which was due to the improved crystal quality of ZnO nanocrystallines. Moreover, the obtained ZnO/PVP film exhibited good photocatalytic activity for decomposing methyl orange.
