New York—US silicomanganese markets have remained subdued in the wake of the declaration of force majeure on its US production by Felman Production on March 30.rnPrices were flat with no new business reported, and the Platts assessment stood at 59-61¢/lb FOB on April 3, unchanged from the previous week. Felman officials continued to be unavailable for comment after customers were notified of the force majeure.rnMeanwhile, rival producer Eramet Marietta confirmed to Platts that early last week it had restarted its patched No. 1 furnace at its Marietta, Ohio, plant, which suffered a burn-through of molten metal on March 8, leading that producer to declare force majeure on March 12. However, Jean-Michel Beysserie, president and CEO of Eramet North America, said that it would take time to get back to full delivery allocations.
