SUR/FIN'05 Declared a Success

Those that attended SUR/FIN this past June in St. Louis were" the "first to experience the show under the joint management of the Surface Finishing Industry Council (SFIC). Representatives from the SFIC said their goal coming into the show was to break the cycle of diminishing returns for exhibitors, attendees and those responsible for the event. Upon review, the SFIC was very pleased with the attendance numbers, content and revenue generated from the show. The SUR/FIN '05 steering committee worked hard to change the perception of the show and improve the value to both exhibitors and attendees, SFIC said. When surveyed, 60 percent of SUR/FIN 2005 exhibitors rated the number of good leads generated from the show as either "excellent" or "good." More than 50 percent of those surveyed felt that SUR/FIN 2005 was "better" or "somewhat better" than SUR/FIN 2004. Additionally, exhibitors found qualified buyers visiting their booths in St. Louis.
