Q my son has a business, part of a 'nationwide franchise, that provides mobile alloy wheel repair at auto dealers and so on. The work is done in a 7' × 12' or larger enclosed trailer with all the components necessary to repair and paint aluminum wheels. I have outfitted several trailers for our use and other franchises. The design includes a partition with a door that separates the preparation/rework area from the painting area in the trailer. The trailer is designed to handle two wheels at a time. The paint room has a fixture that supports the wheels on a 45° angle with a down draft exhaust system that draws overspray though a filter and to the outside.
