MacDermid's Metex Rack Stripper SS-20 is a new process designed to electrochemically dissolve and remove nickel, copper and other plated metals from various types of stainless steel rack tips (Type 304SS can be attacked and should not be used for rack tips). Metex Rack Stripper SS-20 is a mildly acidic, pH 6 to 7 solution. Nickel and/or copper are removed by electrolytic dissolution and drop out of the solution on the tank bottom as metallic sludge.
