European silicon carbide producers appeal EU anti-dumping decision

A group of silicon carbide (SiC) producers in Europe have launched an appeal against the EU's decision not to review anti-dumping measures against SiC imports from China. "The EU SiC industry believes that the commission's directorate-general fortrade acted contrary to EU law," Germany-based SiC producer ESKsaid. "Despitethe EU SiC industry having proved a strong likelihood of a recurrence of dumpingand injury if measures were allowed to lapse, [the directorate-general] denied the industry's request for a review." ESK is joined by producers from across Europe in its appeal against the EU decision, a source from the company said.
