China's nickel ore imports rose to the highest monthly volume this year in April on strong demand in the nickel pig iron (NPI) sector. Inbound shipments of nickel ores and concentrate advanced by 16.1% to 2A6 million tonnes, accordingto Chinese customs figures. Imports were one-third higherthan a year earlier.
